Hopscotch Elevates Batabano Concert With Superior Event Production

05 May | 2017

The award-winning international and local singers at Batabano’s Friday night fete on Harbour Drive May 5th, 2017 will be performing on a state-of-art stage with professional sound and lighting by Cayman’s largest full service production company, Hopscotch Productions.

Hopscotch Productions provides technical support to all facets of the entertainment industry as well as the corporate world, specializing in high quality concert sound. Hopscotch staging and lighting will also remain on Harbour Drive for Saturday night’s Batabano “Last Lap” street dance on Harbour Drive following the street parade.

“Batabano has been Cayman’s national carnival since 1983 and we want to see it continue to grow and thrive,” said Hopscotch Studios’ owner, Greg Greggory, who explained that professional staging, sound, and lighting are crucial elements for the success of major concerts like these. “So we are very excited to partner with Batabano this year to ensure that their events have superior staging, sound, and lighting.”

Hopscotch is also the Caribbean’s only Martin Audio partner, featuring the Martin W8LC LINE ARRAY Wavefront series PA systems.

Batabano Chairperson Donna Myrie-Stephen said her committee is very excited about working with Hopscotch this year. “We couldn’t be more thrilled to have Hopscotch on board with us to ensure that our Batabano patrons experience a concert of the highest standards in the Cayman Islands and in the Caribbean, from both a production and a performance standpoint.”
